"This activity is a complement to or a complement to the 1st vaccine to the 2nd vaccine. This vaccine is intended to get the immune system. Especially media colleagues are obliged because of the work of journalists who work in the field in news coverage. Alhamdulillah, this implementation and vaccine 2 still follows health protocols strictly and thoroughly as a way to be aware of the spread of the COVID-19. The media often comes down to the field and meets people to make news. That's why media is also important in breaking the chain of COVID-19”, said Isnawa Adji, in the Pola Room, 3rd floor, South Jakarta Mayor's office, Thursday, April 22.
At the same place, the Head of the PWI of DKI Jakarta Province Sayid Iskandarsyah expressed his gratitude to the South Jakarta City government for facilitating the injection of the COVID-19 Vaccine for journalistic workers.
"Hopefully with this second phase of the vaccine, it is hoped that the immune system or immune system will be even better so that our bodies can fight back and are not susceptible to being attacked or exposed to the deadly COVID-19", said Sayid.
Meanwhile, the Head of PWI South Jakarta Coordinator, Edi Kuswanto, said that the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination was carried out three weeks after the implementation of the first phase vaccine.
"Alhamdulillah, today the second stage of the COVID-19 vaccine is being carried out. This is active after there is a time lag with the first vaccine to find out the body's reactions/adjustments to the participants of the vaccine after the first vaccine", said Edi Kuswanto.
According to Edi Kuswanto, the second phase of the vaccine is carried out to increase the body's immunity to journalists, especially the Coordinator of PWI, South Jakarta, considering that in carrying out their journalistic duties, they often meet face to face with other people, including resource persons.
