Experts Express Hazardous Types Of Food Stored In The Refrigerator
JAKARTA - The refrigerator is a mainstay place that is used to store almost all foodstuffs. However, not all foods in the refrigerator will be safe to eat forever.
Quoted from HuffPost, Dr. Daniel Atkinson said all foods have the potential to cause food poisoning. This is because food stored in the refrigerator may give rise to bacteria or contamination with other ingredients.
Food that is left for a long time is stored in the refrigerator until it passes the expiration date, or food residues that are not properly heated can be contaminated with harmful bacteria, said Dr. Daniel Atkinson.
High protein foods should be watched out for when stored in the refrigerator. Such as chicken meat, beef, fish, milk, cheese, and eggs.
Patogens or bacteria that cause infection really like the high food of the protein. In addition, pathogens can also nominate fresh vegetables, such as mushrooms, packaged salads, and type of vegetable sprouts. Therefore, it is important to store these various ingredients in the refrigerator by cleaning them first.

Most fresh products must be washed and rubbed with special brushes for products at home. Remember to clean and sterilize rubbed brushes, said microbiologist and food safety, Dennis D'Amico.
Another food that can be dangerous when stored in the refrigerator is rice. This is because it relates to the bacteria contained in rice.
"Even before cooking, rice can contain a bacterial spora known as Bacilus cereus," he said.
These bacteria can still pose a threat even after cooked rice. The risk of pain due to consuming it will be much higher if the rice is not stored properly.
Nasi should not be stored in room temperature. Put rice in the refrigerator immediately when it is cold, and can only be consumed within 24 hours. Outside of that time, the potential for poisoned rice remains even though it does not show any signs ofarty, such as moldy or unpleasant.
