Sentenced As A Result Of Riot Supporters In Liga 2, Persela Lamongan Files An Appeal
JAKARTA - The management of Liga 2 club Persela Lamongan stated that they would appeal the sanctions given by the Indonesian Football Association Disciplinary Committee (PSSI) regarding the chaos of supporters during the match against Persijap Jepara at the Tuban Sport Center Stadium (TSC), Tuban, East Java, Tuesday (18/2).
"Regarding the results of the PSSI Komdis trial, we from the management will seek to appeal so that we can get leniency," said Persela Lamongan manager Fariz Julinar Maurisal when confirmed in Lamongan, Sunday.
Fariz asked that the event be used as a lesson by supporters in the future to be more mature before taking actions that could harm the team.
"Suporters must learn from this. Every action that is prohibited in the League 2 competition must have punishment," he said as reported by ANTARA.
Komdis PSSI imposed sanctions on Persela in the form of a ban on holding matches with spectators when hosting one season of the 2025/2026 competition and was fined Rp110 million.

The chairman of the PSSI Komdis Eko Hendro through his official letter dated February 21, 2025, decided that the Persela Organizing Committee (Panpel) was declared to have violated the PSSI Disciplinary Code in 2023.
In addition, there was also damage to stadium facilities and arson which caused the match to stop. This incident was strengthened by sufficient evidence.
PSSI emphasized that the decision was in accordance with Article 68 letter (c) in conjunction with Article 69 paragraphs 1 and 2 in conjunction with Article 70 paragraphs 1 and 2 and attachment 1 number 5 in conjunction with Article 13 paragraph 2 of the PSSI Disciplinary Code in 2023.
Persela Lamongan was given the right to file an appeal in accordance with Article 119 of the PSSI Disciplinary Code.
