Chairman Of Bawaslu: Money Politics And Hoaxes Main Enemy Of Election Democracy
Chairman of the Indonesian Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja said that money politics and hoaxes are the main enemies of election democracy.
The reason is, money politics can damage democracy and elections in Indonesia. For this reason, he asked young people to jointly protect elections in Indonesia from money politics.
"I'm sure my friends have big dreams so that elections in Indonesia don't have money politics. It's called change, not only from above, but starting from various elements of society," Bagja said in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

In addition, fake news or hoaxes can cause division in society.
"The second thing that is the enemy of hoax democracy is slander and friends," he said.
He also mentioned things that became enemies of democracy, namely not neutralizing the neutrality of ASN, TNI, Polri. "ASN, TNI, Polri are parties who must be neutral," Bagja explained.
Bagja hopes that young people will continue to maintain democracy in Indonesia. This is because in democracy there are rights and obligations followed by law enforcement through an open court process.
"There is no power that is not monitored in democracy," he concluded.
