Check Food Availability In "Cold Storage" Ahead Of Fasting Month, Rano Karno: Safe
Deputy Governor of Jakarta Rano Karno ensured that the availability of food at the cold storage area of Perumda Dharma Jaya, in Milling, Cakung, East Jakarta, was safe.
"I am monitoring everything, thank God the amount of meat, I did not say it was a surplus, but more than Jakarta's needs. Not only meat, chickens also exist, fish also exist," Rano told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday.
The availability of these foods, said Rano, can be said to be safe, although the potential price increase could occur ahead of Ramadan.

"It is undeniable that every holiday (Ramadhan) prices will sometimes rise. But this is where the function of local governments is to maintain, because we also have the task of maintaining regional inflation," he said.
Furthermore, Rano also ensured that the price of meat was still stable or not rising ahead of Ramadan.
"Until today, there has been no increase. In Dharma Jaya there has been no increase. God willing, we are still selling at a very reasonable price," he said.
In line with the statement of Deputy Governor Rano, President Director of Perumda Dharma Jaya Raditya Endra Budiman said the price of meat, especially beef, was still below the market price.
"The back (cash) is still around Rp115,000-Rp120,000, for the front thigh it can be even cheaper, between Rp105,000-Rp115,000 maybe Rp110,000, but for buffalo it may be in the range of Rp90,000," said Raditya.
Meanwhile, for meat stocks, Raditya said there were around 600 tons in Cold Storage Perumda Dharma Jaya, Milling, Cakung.
"Our number here is 300 tons in Cakung, but there are also 300 in front. (That number) Before later with cooperation between regions, cooperation with Sister City as well, with Australia, God willing, the needs will be met," he said.
