DKI KPU Prepares Books Containing Pramono-Rano Campaign Promises, So Residents Can Monitor Its Realization
JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta plans to make and publish a book that includes the promises of the Governor-Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno which will be fulfilled when leading.
Member of the DKI Jakarta KPU, Doddy Wijaya, said that the material in the book is a narrative in the form of Pramono-Rano's promises that have been expressed in the debate event of the candidate pair for the Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.
Doddy explained that the book would be handed over directly to Pramono and Rano as reminders and a basis for realizing their promises in the next five years of leadership.
This book can also be used as a reference for residents to monitor whether these promises are realized within the next 5 years.
"Hopefully with this book, people can still monitor, supervise, and ask for accountability regarding the realization of campaign promises that have been submitted," said Doddy to reporters, Saturday, February 22.

Doddy explained that this book could bridge communication between the Governor and the Deputy Governor and the citizens of Jakarta as voters. This step, according to him, is important to ensure that the promises made by the candidate pairs can be remembered and realized properly.
"The point is that we are trying to bring candidates' promises closer together with voters, so that voters can give a mandate to Pak Pramono and Bang Doel to lead Jakarta," said Doddy.
In addition, the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta KPU, Dijra Abdul Kadir, revealed that this book not only provides transparency to the public, but is also a good means to assess the extent to which these promises can be implemented after Pramono-Rano was elected.
This book, he continued, will also be a clear and detailed documentation. For Jakarta residents, this book can later be used as an object in monitoring and evaluating the realization of the promises of the couple promoted by PDIP.
Not only that, the use of this book can ultimately increase people's accountability and trust in the democratic process in Jakarta.
"Hopefully this step inspires other regions to apply a similar approach for the advancement of better democracy," he added.
