1,347 Members Of PMR Tangerang City Inaugurated, Ready For Emergency Response
TANGERANG - A total of 1,347 members of the Tangerang City Youth Red Cross (PMR), Banten were sworn in and involved in preparedness for an emergency situation.
Tangerang City PMI chairman Oman Jumansyah in Tangerang, Saturday, said the PMR member should later find out when an incident occurs and know what to do.
"For example, in small accidents such as fainting or broken legs. Even if there is a heavier risk, they know they have to contact PMI and wait for an ambulance to arrive. All of this is aimed at humanity and society," said Oman after the inauguration ceremony at the Tangerang City Puspemkot, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, February 22.
Regional Assistant for Government and People's Welfare Tangerang City Deni Koswara said this inauguration marked the students' commitment to instilling humanitarian values and preparedness in dealing with emergency situations.
A total of 1.347 PMR students were inaugurated. They are our future successors. Currently, schools play a role in instilling human nature wrapped in science and education," said Deni.

Deni hopes that with this inauguration, PMR members can further develop their abilities in the humanitarian field, especially in providing first aid in accidents.
"We also emphasize the importance of coordination between school PMR and city and regional governments for the smooth running of their activities," he said.
Meanwhile, one of the inaugurated participants, Nia expressed her pride in being part of the Tangerang City PMR.
"Alhamdulillah, this joint inauguration went smoothly, Sis. Even though it was raining, that doesn't mean we are mentally shaky. We are ready to be pioneers in PMR Tangerang City," concluded Nia.
