JAKARTA - In the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, Geely Auto Indonesia officially put its foot back into the Indonesian market by introducing EX5 as its first electric vehicle in the country.

The presence of the car also enlivens the competition for electric vehicles from Chinese brands and will become the main competitors such as BYD Atto 3.

BYD has already marketed Atto 3 to the Indonesian market at the beginning of last year by offering advanced features.

Dimension

In terms of size, Geely EX5 offers a more spacious dimension with a length of 4,615 mm, a width of 1,901 mm, a height of 1,670 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

Meanwhile, BYD Atto 3 has a length of up to 4,455 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, a height of 1,615 mm, and a wheelbase of up to 2,720 mm.

Interior futuristic

These two models have cabin parts that emit their respective sophistication. Geely EX5 has a 10.2-inch LCD instrument cluster screen and Windshield Heads-Up Display (W-HUD) measuring up to 13.8 inches.

Users are also spoiled with a touch screen High-Definition (HD) measuring 15.4 inches supported by a 7nm high-performance chip.

Meanwhile, BYD Atto 3 is equipped with a 5-inch panel instrument and a 15.6-inch screen that has a rotating feature that makes it easier for users to have different tuning access.

Safety Features

BYD Atto 3 has ADAS features that include several functions such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEB), Blind Spot Detection (BDS), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and others.

Then, Geely EX5 is equipped with advanced ADAS level 2 consisting of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Intelligent Cruise Control, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA), Blind Spots Detection (BSD), and many more.

Performance And Tempuh Distance

Talking about performance, Geely EX5 has an advantage by armed with a 160 KW electric motor and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 6.9 seconds for the Pro variant and 7.1 seconds for the Max type.

Meanwhile, BYD Atto 3 has an electric motorbike with a strength of 150 kW and a torque of 310 Nm so that it can run from 0 to 100 km/hour in 7.9 seconds for Standard Range Advanced type and 7.3 seconds on the Extender Range Superior.

Geely EX5 is also at the forefront of a distance of up to 495 km on Pro and 490 km for Max from a 60.22 kWh battery.

Meanwhile, BYD Atto 3 has two battery options, namely 49.92 kWh at Standard Range Advanced with a distance of 410 km and 60.48 at Extended Range Superior up to 480 km.

Competing Prices

Geely EX5 has a competitive price of IDR 475 million for the Pro variant and IDR 515 million for the Max type.

However, Geely provides a special price offer for IIMS 2025 with a tag of IDR 465 million Pro and IDR 505 million for the Max variant.
