BTN Makes IDR625 Billion Profits In The First Quarter Of 2021, Subsidized And Non-subsidized KPR Start To Increase

JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk. (BTN) recorded positive growth by achieving a net profit of IDR 625 billion. This figure grew 36.75 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared to the same period the previous year with IDR457 billion.

BTN President Director Haru Koesmahargyo said the performance of this moncer would be accompanied by strengthening reserves to anticipate various risks that could potentially arise due to pandemic pressure.

“Our main mission is to provide a home for Indonesians, especially low-income people. Heru added that the net profit was supported by an increase in interest income. Interest income from the bank, codenamed BBTN, rose 2.99 percent yoy to Rp6.35 trillion.

The company also succeeded in reducing interest expenses by 10.28 percent from Rp3.99 trillion to Rp3.58 trillion.

With this step, BTN's net interest income was recorded to have increased at the level of 27.32 percent yoy to IDR 2.77 trillion.

Furthermore, the acquisition of BBTN interest income was supported by the distribution of credit and financing amounting to Rp261.34 trillion at the end of the first trimester of this year.

The distribution of credit and financing was recorded to have increased by 3.19 percent yoy from Rp253.25 trillion per quarter I / 2020.

"The growth of BTN credit and financing is above the national banking credit distribution which is still at a minus level," he said.

Then, in terms of subsidized housing loans (KPR), it is still the largest contributor to the company's credit growth.

Subsidized housing loans increased by 9.04 percent yoy to Rp122.96 trillion. Likewise, the non-subsidized KPR segment also began to show a slight increase at the level of 0.2 percent to Rp80.15 trillion at the end of March 2021.

In total, credit growth in the housing segment grew by 3.23 percent yoy to Rp236.57 trillion.

Then, credit in the non-housing segment grew 2.87 percent to Rp24.76 trillion. This growth was supported by increases in the consumer credit and corporate loans segments, which grew by 9.43 percent and 7.44 percent, respectively.

Then, the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) is known to be at a maintained level of 1.94 percent.
