Aston Villa Vs. Chelsea Prediction: The Villans Are Hungry For Victory, The Blues Are Victims?

JAKARTA - Two Premier League teams that aspire to win the top four will face each other at Villa Park on Saturday night 22 February, when Aston Villa host Chelsea. Unai Emery's team will seek revenge after losing 3-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in early December.

Aston Villa have failed to win in their last five Premier League games and drew in four of them. Their last draw came on Wednesday night against leaders Liverpool. Emery admits that a 2-2 draw is a fair reflection of the competitive match.

Villa had taken the lead in the first half thanks to goals from Youri Tielemans and totaling Watkins, who reversed Liverpool's early lead through Mohamed Salah. However, Trent Alexander-Arnold's goal saved Liverpool a draw.

Even though Villa have only won six of their last 21 Premier League games (D9 L6), they are still in ninth place and still have a chance to win Champions League tickets for the second season in a row. They are only five points behind Manchester City in fourth and four points from Bournemouth and Chelsea in fifth and sixth place.

Villa are the team with the most draw at home this season (seven times), but they still feel comfortable playing at Villa Park, as they have only lost once in their last 22 games at home to Arsenal's 2-0 loss last August.

However, Villa have only won four of their last 15 games against teams from London (D6 L5). They also won only two of their last 11 home meetings against Chelsea in the Premier League, namely 1-0 wins in March 2014 and 2-1 in May 2021.

After enjoying 12 defeatless matches (M9 S3) between November 3 and December 22, Chelsea's performance has dropped dramatically with just three wins in their last 10 matches in all competitions, including three defeats in the last four matches.

Chelsea have just lost twice in a row to Brighton & Hove Albion, namely 2-1 in the FA Cup and 3-0 in the Premier League. In their last defeat, Chelsea failed to make a single shot on target for the first time since September 2021.

Enzo Maresca, who has called his team's performance the "worst" since he took over the club, is demanding a response from his players. Chelsea also need to improve their away performance, as they have failed to win in their last six games off the home (S2 K4) and have scored only two goals in the last five away games in the Premier League (S2 K3).

However, Chelsea have reason to be optimistic, as they have won 13 times at Villa Park in the Premier League less than their win at Tottenham (16) and Southampton (15). They can also take inspiration from a three-goal win over Villa earlier this season.

Aston Villa will lose Pau Torres (an ankle), Amadou Onana (apaha), and Boubacar Kamara (a star) due to injury. Ezri Konsa, Leon Bailey, and Ross Barkley (betis) are still in doubt and will undergo pre-match examinations.

Axel Disasi, who was loaned from Chelsea, was not allowed to play against his parent team. Emery will probably play Lamare Bogarde in the back line withatur Mings.

Marcus Rashford, who has not scored for Villa since being loaned from Manchester United, has had a good record against Chelsea with four goals in eight home games. He will probably remain in the left flank, alongside Morgan Rogers, Marco Asensio, and banyak Watkins.

On the Chelsea side, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson, Wesley Fofana, Omari Kellyman (hamstring), Romeo Lavia (dots), Marc Guiu (shell), and Mykhaylo Mudryk (diskrys) are not available. Benoit Badiashile (paha) is still doubtful.

Reece James and Tosin Adarbioyo have the opportunity to return to the back, replacing Malo Gusto and Trevoh Chalobah. Jadon Sancho will replace Madueke on the left wing, while Pedro Neto can play on the right wing.

Cole Palmer has not scored a goal or assist in his last five appearances, but he is expected to remain in the center forward position with Christopher Nkunku.
