SPSL Logistics Service Skyrockets 215 Percent In The 2024 Period
JAKARTA - PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL), one of the subholdings of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) recorded significant operational performance growth throughout 2024.
The volume of logistics services managed reached 1.35 million boxes, an increase of 215 percent on an annual basis (year-on-year/yoy).
President Director of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik, Joko Noerhudha, said that the improvement in the service shows the contribution of SPSL in supporting national logistics activities, as well as encouraging economic growth through reliable, efficient, and safe services.
"This success is the result of the team's commitment and dedication in presenting efficient, reliable, and integrated logistics solutions. We are also grateful for the trust given by customers, partners, and stakeholders. This is the first step in the company's long journey to continue to support Indonesia's economic growth," Joko said in his statement, Thursday, February 20.
In addition, warehousing performance has also increased significantly. The total volume of warehousing in 2024 reached 177.2 thousand cubic meters (CBM). Up 141 percent on an annual basis.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's economic growth in 2024 was recorded at 5.03 percent. All business sectors experienced growth with other service sectors recorded the highest increase of 9.80 percent.
The transportation and warehousing sector grew 8.69 percent. Meanwhile, the supply of accommodation and food and drinks rose 8.56 percent.
The growth of the transportation and warehousing sectors shows the strategic role of logistics in maintaining the stability and smooth distribution of domestic goods.
The increase in SPSL performance in 2024 is supported by various efforts to optimize services.
The efficiency of warehousing and field services has increased in several main ports, such as Tanjung Priok Port, Tanjung Perak, and Tanjung Emas which function as national logistics distribution centers.
"Digitalisasi proses layanan serta penerapan teknologi berbasis data turut mempercepat proses operasional dan meningkatkan akurasi pengelolaan logistik," ucapnya.
As part of the service transformation, SPSL also continues to strengthen infrastructure and operational technology, for example by providing an X-ray-based container scanner at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta.
In the future, this technology will be implemented in other major ports to accelerate the inspection of export and import containers, as well as support regulatory policies in preventing the smuggling of prohibited goods and accelerating the customs process.
SPSL also encourages optimization of the use of Pelindo Tower buildings which are now fully operational. In 2024, building occupancy will reach 323,210 square meters per month.
This occupancy increased 109 percent on an annual basis. This achievement also reflects SPSL's commitment to providing modern logistics supporting facilities, which supports smooth business in the sector.
