Commission II Of The House Of Representatives Urges The Minister Of ATR/BPN To Solve Land Dispute Issues

JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the House of Representatives Muhammad Khozin urged the Ministry of ATR/BPN to resolve the problem of land disputes holistically, not installments. Not only based on the settlement of procedural-birocratics, but substantially to completion.

"The problem of resolving land disputes in the community protracted due to settlements based on administrative procedures which are the guidelines for ATR/BPN," said Khozin, Thursday, February 20.

According to him, the Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid must change the perspective of resolving land disputes by resolving disputes over agrarian conflicts holistically or legally as a guideline for resolution.

"Don't because you've gone through administrative procedures as if the conflict is over. Conflict resolution must be resolved and based on the rules of the game. There will be no more settlements of agrarian conflicts in installments," said Khozin.

This DPR member of the East Java IV electoral district gave an example of the land conflict that occurred in Kampar, Riau between PT Sekar Bumi Alam Lestari (SBAL) and residents that lasted a long time. Likewise, the reports he received in Pekanbaru, and several other areas in Riau Province, which protracted.

According to Khozin, uncertainty in resolving land conflicts will have an impact on the social, political and economic aspects. "The settlement of land conflicts is not just a formal, but the main thing is material. Not only has the answer from BPN been handled, but the main case is still problematic," said Khozin.

Therefore, the PKB legislator encouraged the Ministry of ATR/BPN to change the pattern of approach in resolving agrarian conflicts in society.

"The approach must be changed, not only to fulfill the formal aspects that are procedurally-administrative, but the main thing is that the material aspect must be resolved so that the community gets legal certainty," concluded Khozin.
