PGN Gandeng TNI AD Tightens Security For National Natural Gas Distribution
JAKARTA PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) cooperates with the Indonesian Army National Army (TNI AD) to strengthen the security of the national natural gas infrastructure.
PGN's Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Harry Budi Sidharta, said this step was part of a strategic effort to ensure that natural gas distribution remained safe and supported national energy security.
"With the support of 91 TNI AD personnel in the PGN operating area, we are optimistic that gas distribution will be safer and more controlled," said Harry, Thursday, February 20.
As a manager of 92 percent of the national natural gas infrastructure, continued Harry, PGN understands the importance of asset security to maintain the smooth distribution of gas.
Later, the TNI AD will play a role in community-based security (community-based security) by educating the surrounding community to understand that PGN's assets are vital national objects that must be jointly guarded. In addition, the presence of the apparatus also provides a deterrent effect for parties that have the potential to disrupt infrastructure security
Currently, PGN's operational security situation is in a safe and controlled category. However, preventive and pre-emptive measures are still needed to mitigate potential security disturbances.

PGN currently operates gas networks in 17 provinces covering 73 districts/cities, serving various industrial, commercial, and household sectors. With this strategic collaboration, PGN is optimistic that the distribution of natural gas will remain smooth, safe, and sustainable.
