JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team completed the U-20 Asian Cup group stage with unsatisfactory results. Facing Yemen, this final match ended with a 1-1 draw.

The final match of Group C phase of the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup will be held at the Shenzen Youth Football Training Base Center Stadium, on Wednesday 19 February evening WIB.

This draw resulted in the Garuda Nusantara Squad closing the group stage in third place with one point. That number was obtained after losing 0-3 in the inaugural match against Iran and 1-3 against Uzbekistan.

In this match, at the beginning of the Indonesian U-20 national team game, it was difficult for the opposing team. When the game had only been running for four minutes, the Yemeni player almost made a point.

This situation occurred when Adel Qasem counterattacked, the player was in a free position and immediately faced the goalkeeper of the Indonesian U20 national team, Fitrah Maulana. Luckily the effort failed because his kick was still off to the left.

Four minutes later, it was the turn of the threatening U-20 Indonesian national team. Dony Tri Pamungkas released the pass to the right and was greeted by Marselinus Ama Ola.

A strike was carried out by Marselinus Ama Ola, but his hard shot was still parried by the Yemeni goalkeeper. After this the game continues to be interesting.

The U-29 Indonesian national team again got a chance in the 25th minute through a free kick situation. At that time, Dony Tri, who controlled the ball, failed to target him against the opponent's goal because he was still soaring far above the Yemeni crossbar.

Yemen then had two fine chances towards the end of the first half through Adel Qasem. Precisely in the 39th and 42nd minutes. Because it failed to convert, the first half was completed with a score of 0-0.

In the second half, the U-20 Indonesian national team continued to look for loopholes through Marselinus Ama Ola, which was still the spearhead of the squad.

He fired a right-footed shot in the 54th minute after receiving Rizdjar Nurviat's pass. However, Marselinus Ama Ola's shot could still be secured by the Yemeni goalkeeper, Osamah Mokref.

The player who defended Spanish club Logrones then threatened again in the 63rd minute, but was still driven away by the Yemeni goalkeeper. This situation lasted until normal time was over.

The match continued to injury time, at this moment Fitrah Maulana made a slick save for a pair of Yemeni opportunity. Until the end of time the score remained the same 0-0 for both teams.
