Kaltara Prosecutor's Office Examines 8 Witnesses In Corruption Cases In The Construction Of The BPSDM Building
TANJUNG SELOR - The North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) released the results of a search conducted by a team of investigators from the Kaltara High Prosecutor's Office at the PUPR-PERKIM Office.
The head of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) of Kaltara, Amiek Mulandari, said the search was carried out in connection with the investigation into alleged corruption in the construction of the BPSDM Kaltara building for the 2021 to 2023 budget years.
"This search was officially carried out by the investigating team of the North Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office and a recommendation from the Chairman of the Samarinda Corruption Court," said Amiek accompanied by Assistant for Special Crimes (Aspidsus) Nurhadi Puspandoyo, Wednesday, February 19.
Investigators conducted searches in two places, namely the DPUPR-Perkim office and the DPUPR-PERKIM Kaltara Workshop.
"We found a number of documents and electronic items to be evidence and material for investigation," said Kajati.
Currently, the Attorney General's Office has not named a suspect. Investigators are still examining a number of witnesses, as well as collecting evidence. Including waiting for the calculation of the possibility of state losses by related parties.
Meanwhile, Aspidsus Nurhadi Puspandoyo explained, his party is still investigating the alleged state loss in the construction activities of the Kaltara BPSDM worth Rp. 8 billion which was carried out with three stages of development starting from knowing 2021 to 2023. Meanwhile, the eight witnesses who have been examined are commitment-making officials (PPK) with the initials RA.
"We have not named a suspect, hopefully we will determine in the near future, it is not yet known who of the 8 witnesses who were questioned whether they have the potential to become suspects," he explained.
Nurhadi revealed that the construction of the BPSDM building for Kaltara Province in Tanjung Selor did not work according to specifications so that it could potentially cause state losses.
"The Kaltara Prosecutor's Office will ask for help from auditors who are authorized to calculate the amount of state losses. The Prosecutor's Office has also asked for expert opinion, and has believed in a criminal act, then collected sufficient evidence, and ultimately increased it to the investigation stage," he said.
