Toyota GR Is Increasingly Popular, 80 Percent Of Consumers Are Claimed To Choose This Sporty Variant
JAKARTA - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), as the sole agent of Toyota brand holder (ATPM) in Indonesia, has various vehicle lines for the needs of Indonesian market mobility. One of them is the ranks of the Gazoo Racing (GR) variant.
Gazoo Racing (GR) is a subdivision of the Toyota brand which focuses on high-performance cars with sporty performances.
Marketing Director of PT TAM, Anton Jimmi Suwandi said the GR variant had a contribution of up to 60-80 percent to each of the models that offered this type last year.
"The sales composition is also interesting, of each of those models 60-80 percent of the consumers chose GR," Anton said in his explanation to the media at Gazoo Racing Media Day, Kemayoran, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 19.
Anton added that the large number of GR variant enthusiasts in Indonesia proves that the customer's need for vehicles is not only in its function, but also emotionally.
"This proves that customers in Indonesia not only like to have functional products, but also the emotional side through GR variants so that their interest is quite high," added Anton.

The company now offers a number of GR products in the country market, ranging from GR Pure which focuses on performance, GR-S or GR Sport variants for more sporting performances, to GR Parts to meet the needs of customers in owning good-looking vehicles.
Currently, Toyota sells the Pure GR line starting from GR Yaris, GR 86, GR Corolla, and GR Supra. Meanwhile, the GR-S variant consists of the Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport, Agya GR Sport, Fortuner GR Sport, Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport, and RAV4 GR Sport models.
The GR Parts model line comes to the entry-level ranks of Toyota, including New Agya Stylix, Fortuner with GR Parts Aeropackage, Yaris Cross GR Parts Aeropackage, Rush GR Sport, Raize GR Sport, and Yaris GR Sport.
