Gemini Presents 'Next Stage' Note Capabilities For Google Meet

JAKARTA Google Meet has received Gemini support since August last year. Thanks to this integration of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) model, users can record or even summarize the content of the meeting.

In the near future, Google will add the ability to create the 'next recommended stage' which is still related to the content of the meeting. This feature will display the most important points that need to be done with the checklist column next to it.

The next step that is suggested is part of the Takes Note for Me feature. By activating the feature during the meeting on Google Meet, the tool not only creates a list of notes, but the next important step that must be taken.

Therefore, the next stage column will be located at the bottom of the record. Although automatically created by Artificial Intelligence (AI), users can still review and edit the next stage made by Gemini before being sent to other meeting participants.

This new feature began to be released on February 18. According to Google, the new capabilities they add will support the productivity of its users by ensuring that no important note is missed during the meeting.

"This latest increase in recording will help ensure important follow-ups are not missed and keep everyone in line with what happened next after your meeting," Google said on the Workspace update page.

Usually, launches will run for fifteen days, but this feature will be released longer than usual. Google says it will roll out its features a little later as performance monitoring is still needed.

"This feature will be launched at a much slower than usual speed as we monitor its performance and quality carefully. We will update this post as it launches for the Fast Release domain is complete and Scheduled Launch is expected to begin," Google explained.
