Program 3 Million Houses Are Considered Not To Have A Roadmap, Developer Of This Proposal To Prabowo

JAKARTA - The 3 million house program is considered not to have a roadmap or (roadmap) at this time.

The housing development bosses also questioned the clarity of the regulations in running President Prabowo Subianto's ambitious program.

Recently, developer bosses from five associations have assessed that the current property situation is not conducive, for example, the unclear quota for FLPP subsidized houses.

The five associations are 90 percent of the total developers in Indonesia.

They are Chairman of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) Joko Suranto, General Chairperson of the Association for Housing and Settlement Development throughout Indonesia (Apersi) Junaidi Abdillah, General Chairperson of the Jaya National Housing Development Alliance (Appernas Jaya) Andriliwan Muhammad, General Chairperson of the Association for Settlement and Public Housing Development (Himperra) Ari Tri Priyono and General Chairperson of the National House Development and Marketing Association (Asprumnas) M. Syawali.

"We encourage FLPP to run immediately. Discussions have been carried out many times, but so far it has not been decided. For this reason, we developers encourage alternative financing for household production at the same price as subsidized houses. Alhamdulillah, currently several banks have shown their commitment to formulate products and financing schemes," Joko said at a press conference in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, February 18.

Joko assessed that housing developers will complete the ongoing FLPP project and then wait for President Prabowo's direction or the Head of the Housing Task Force for the sustainability of the 3 million houses and FLPP programs.

"The housing developer also hopes that President Prabowo Subianto is pleased to convey to business actors regarding the program of 3 million houses and what the head of state views of the big program. Developers request that there be room for dialogue between the developer association and President Prabowo Subianto," he said.

In addition, said Joko, the developer also urged the government to create a climate and atmosphere of compact togetherness, without causing unnecessary noise. In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's direction that Indonesia needs unity in carrying out development.

Moreover, the Head of State has a leading program, namely building 3 million houses for low-income people (MBR).

"Large developers ask us questions in the management. They are confused about the current conditions, what is it? So it's not just small and medium developers, but the big ones see that uncertainty," he said.
