Now You Can Play Android Games On PC Only With Keyboards

JAKARTA Google Play Games on PC has been updated with a new feature that allows users to map keyboard inputs to touch controls, and allows you to play Android games using only keyboards.

The latest version of Google Play Games on PC introduces a control mapping tool that allows users to add virtual buttons for screen tapping simulations as well as virtual joysticks that can be moved with the WASD button or arrow button. This feature is very useful for those who do not have access to the mouse or are more comfortable playing only on the keyboard.

Control mapping tools can be accessed through menus that appear when pressing Shift + Tab during play. Users can add virtual tap and joystick buttons, then move, change sizes, and label these controls to create customized play experiences. This control mapping will be saved between play sessions and can be exported or imported to other computers or shared with friends.

According to Google's change records, this tool is only available for "supported games." While it's not clear which games fall into this category, it's likely that games requiring mice will be compatible with this feature. Google also states that "more controls are planned for future releases," so users can expect more diverse options in the future.

In addition to the control mapping tool, the January 2025 update also adds the ability to "change the refresh rate (FPS) for individual games." This option is available through visual settings in the menu that appear while pressing Shift + Tab. Although it is not yet known which games support this feature, this update demonstrates Google's commitment to improving the Android gaming experience on PC.

This new feature is expected to increase convenience for Android game fans who prefer to play on PC. With the ability to adjust controls and share mappings with friends, Google Play Games on PC is increasingly attractive to gamers.
