SAR Team Finds Another Longsor Cliff Dead Victim In Blitar
BLITAR - The Blitar Resort Police Team, East Java, and a joint team found another landslide victim so that two victims had been found.
The two victims were buried by landslides from a cliff as high as 50 meters in the Kaliputih River area, Karangrejo Village, Garum District, Blitar Regency
"There has been an evacuation on the second day that the victims were buried by landslides in the Putih River area, Karangrejo Village. Two victims and one victim have been evacuated on the first day of the search. Both died," said Head of the Media Information and Documentation Management Sub-Section (PIDM) Section of Public Relations (Humas) of the Blitar Police, Ipda Putut Siswahyudi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 18.
The victim who was evacuated on the second day was Nur Kholis (45), a resident of Penataran Village, Nglegok District. The victim was also immediately taken from the scene to the village road using a Garum Police car.
The victim has also been examined and identified by health workers and the Blitar Police Identification Team, then from the village road the victim's body was transferred to the PMI ambulance.
"I was transported by a hearse to the funeral home of Penataran Village, Nglegok District, escorted by a Backbone car from the Garum Police," he said. The landslide occurred 50 meters high in the Putih River area of Karangrejo Village, Garum District, Blitar Regency, it was on Sunday (16/2).
At that time, the two victims who were traditional sand miners tried to create a hole in the river. The location is approximately 30 meters from the cliff.

When the pocket (hole) was full, the two victims raised the sand above the ground, but when the two victims raised the sand from the pockets suddenly from the top of the cliff there was a landslide which resulted in the two victims being buried by landslides.
Other residents who knew about the landslide incident from the 50 meter high cliff immediately informed people in the river basin and conducted a joint search. However, it has not been found so that the search is continued.
The two victims were found dead after a search involving the TNI/Polri, BPBD Blitar Regency, SAR, and other volunteers.
