Minister Of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi Proposes WFA For ASN And BUMN Employees, This Is The Goal

JAKARTA - Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi proposed a Work from Anywhere (WFA) policy for employees, especially for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to anticipate congestion during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period.

Dudy said that the Ministry of Transportation recommended that WFA be implemented starting March 24, 2025.

"To anticipate traffic congestion during the Eid 2025 transportation period, we also propose a number of strategic policies such as WFA for employees, especially ASN and BUMN," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, February 18.

This WFA scheme, continued Dudy, needs to be carried out considering the two close holidays, namely Nyepi Day on March 29, 2025 and Eid al-Fitr which are predicted to fall from March 31 to April 1, 2025.

According to Dudy, this policy is needed to consider the trend of people moving during the Eid 2025 transportation period, which is predicted to be quite high.

This year's Eid is close to Nyepi Day which fell a few days earlier. As a result, many people will take advantage of this moment not only for homecoming, but also for holidays," he said.

"We really hope that the implementation of the WFA policy can reduce traffic density before Eid al-Fitr," he continued.

Since last month, he has visited a number of ministries to coordinate, in order to prepare for Lebaran transportation in 2025.

The ministries in question are the Coordinating Ministry for Regional Infrastructure and Development, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), the Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"The Ministry of Transportation needs support from various parties to make Lebaran 2025 transportation a success. With this coordination across agencies, it is hoped that people can make homecoming trips and return to Lebaran safely, comfortably, and smoothly," said Dudy.
