JAKARTA - The Cianjur Police Station, West Java, has deployed hundreds of members to guard the mouse route and alternative routes for travelers who choose to return home early by crossing the Cianjur jurisdiction, enforcing strict sanctions for those who violate it.

The Head of Cianjur Police, AKBP Mochamad Rifai said that not only would they monitor the movements of travelers, officers would also carry out raids on illegal taxis and travelers who still brought travelers from outside Cianjur, with strict sanctions and detention of vehicles.

"Strict sanctions ranging from tickets to vehicles are temporarily detained, but officers will focus on preventing the passing of travelers who choose to return to their hometowns early. Those who do not carry COVID-19 antigen-free certificates will be sent home," he said in Cianjur, quoted by Antara. Wednesday, April 21.

He explained, the high number of COVID-19 transmission in a number of regions in Indonesia, including in Cianjur, made Forkopimda Cianjur to take preventive measures to break the chain of spread, including prohibiting residents from outside the city and inside the city from going home to this year's Eid al-Fitr.

"Do not go home until the pandemic is over, if it returns to normal, direct friendship can be done. For now, the pandemic is still happening, let's take care of ourselves, family and neighbors and the surrounding environment by not going home first," he said.

KBO Then Cianjur Police, Iptu Yudhistira, said that this year's Eid homecoming season, his party prepared 8 isolation points to be set up on each border with other districts, starting from Puncak Pass to four points in the southern region of Cianjur.

"We will focus on surveillance and monitoring on the rat pathway and alternative routes, which are widely available along the national route, because it is likely that many will use alternative access routes with minimal guarding to get to their hometowns," he said.

The officer will check every suspicious vehicle that crosses the mouse lane, if it contains travelers and does not carry a COVID-19 antigen-free certificate, they will have to be sent back to their area of origin because this year's homecoming is still prohibited by the government.

"It is estimated that not many travelers will be able to pass through to Cianjur because various inspections and blockages have been carried out in various areas starting from their departure. However, efforts to isolate and monitor each border will still be carried out," he said.
