Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Stabbing Jambi Brimob Members
JAMBI - Police arrested five people who stabbed a member of the Jambi Police Mobile Brigade, resulting in the victim suffering injuries to the back.
Jambi Police Chief Kombes Boy Sutan Binanga Siregar said the police arrested five perpetrators with the initials IN (20) who acted as the perpetrators of the stabbing, F (20) who beat the victim, as well as WA (21), AK (24), and FY (21) who were involved in the persecution.
Currently, the police are still hunting for another perpetrator with the initials RR, who is suspected of playing a role in throwing stones at the victim.
The member of the Jambi Police Satbrimob who became the victim was named Aji (28). He was stabbed by six youths while breaking up the commotion. As a result of the incident, the victim suffered a stab wound to the back.
This incident occurred at a hotel in the Jambi City Market area on February 11, 2025 at around 21.00 WIB. At that time the victim was passing by and saw a commotion.
Seeing this situation, the victim tried to help because she heard someone asking for help.
"Members (victims) tried to help because someone asked for help. However, when asking about the problem with the youth group, our members were actually abused and stabbed in the back," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 17.
After receiving the report, the Jambi Police Satreskrim immediately conducted an investigation and succeeded in arresting the perpetrators in the South Sumatra area yesterday (16/2).
The five perpetrators who have been arrested are now undergoing further investigation at the Jambi Police.
Meanwhile, the victim's condition has improved and has been able to return to duty.
"I have checked, for the time being the victim has returned to his house and is able to carry out the service," said Boy.
