Leaders Of Ponpes In Indramayu Suspected Of Committing Obscenity, Police: Cases Since 2018, 24 Witnesses Have Been Investigated
JAKARTA - The West Java (West Java) Regional Police is investigating a case of alleged immoral acts committed by a man with the initials PG. PG is the leader of a boarding school (ponpes) located in Indramayu, West Java (West Java).
West Java Regional Police Head of Public Relations Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago said his party had examined a number of people to be asked for information regarding this case.
"In February there was a police report regarding the sexual abuse issue in Indramayu. Until now, an investigation is still being carried out by the West Java Regional Police's Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum)," Erdi said at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 21.
Since February 2021, according to him, 24 witnesses have been asked for information. The immoral case allegedly occurred since 2018 against the victim with the initials K (50).
"There were 24 witnesses who were asked for information, including reported parties, reporters, doctors," he also said.
Although being investigated, he could not confirm whether the case could move from the investigation stage to the investigation stage. Because, he said, the police still need to complete the investigation and conduct a case title.
"Even though the report was about sexual immorality. What we believe is the result of investigations by investigators from the Directorate General of Criminal Affairs. The result is whether it can go up to investigation or not," said Erdi.
The attorney for the victim's penalty, Djoemaidi Anom, confirmed that his party had reported the case complete with a number of evidences such as USG results, medical receipts and videos.
"We reported PG to the West Java Regional Police on charges of obscenity. Initially (K) did not want to report the act, but finally on February 22 reported it to the West Java Regional Police," said Anom.
