JAKARTA - The Women Police (Polwan) in the Madiun City Police, East Java, distributed basic food assistance to a number of residents in the vicinity of the local Polres command (mako) headquarters in commemoration of Kartini Day on April 21.
"In the framework of Kartini Day this time, we hope that all policewomen can benefit the community, especially women in Madiun City. For this reason, we convey the gifts to mothers around Mako, pedicab drivers and garbage men," said Kartoharjo Police Chief, Police Commissioner Lilik Sulastri. in Madiun, reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 21.
Lilik hopes that the momentum of Kartini Day this year can be interpreted by all women in Madiun City to increase their roles. Not only within the family, but also in society.
"Not only women who work, housewives also have an important role in giving birth and educating the next generation of the nation. Therefore, take advantage of this momentum so that women can benefit the environment," he said.
Not only playing a role for others, in this activity Polwan also conducted socialization to road users not to go home during Eid Al-Fitr 2021 in May. This was done to anticipate the transmission of COVID-19 from outside the region.
"Love our families by avoiding infection. For that, we hope that people outside the city will not go home this year to Madiun City," he said.
According to Lilik, the ban on homecoming is also in accordance with the government's recommendation so that the Indonesian people do not carry out the Lebaran homecoming. In particular, from May 6 to 17, 2021.
In fact, the Madiun City Government has prepared an isolation location for recalcitrant travelers who are desperate to return to Madiun City. Stubborn homecomers are those who have not been vaccinated twice, do not carry a certificate of "swab test" with negative results, and show reactive / positive results when examined by officers.
Therefore, his party urges residents of Madiun City who are migrating outside the area to restrain their desire not to go home temporarily, in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
He asked Madiun City residents to always be disciplined in implementing the 5 M health protocol to prevent COVID-19, namely wearing masks properly, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance between people, reducing mobility, and staying away from crowds.
