Ruben Amorim Feels Team Must Take Responsibility For Manchester United Employee Layoffs
Ruben Amorim said that he and the first team could not ignore layoffs (termination of employment) of Manchester United employees.
He emphasized that it was the team's responsibility to increase the results to help staff and prevent an increase in ticket prices.
As is known, Manchester United laid off 250 employees during the summer as part of cost cuts from minritas owner Sir Jim Radcliffe.
The ESPN report says the Red Devils are considering making further cuts.
Employee cuts plus plans to increase ticket prices at Old Trafford were due to a loss of 300 million pounds over the past three years.
Their financial situation was not helped by performance on the ground, with Manchester United failing to enter the Champions League last season.

This year, under Erik ten Hag and now Amoram, things are getting worse. The Red Devils slumped in 15th place in the Premier League after losing against Tottenham Hotspur.
Amoritam telah mengakui bahwa ia dan para pemainnya harus bertanggung kesalahan tersebut.
"I think it's very important for us in the first team, coaches and players, not to ignore it."
"People lose their jobs. So, we have to admit that the biggest problem is the football team."
"We spent the money. We didn't win. We didn't enter the Champions League. So the income wasn't the same."
"We spent a lot of money in the past and now we have to be careful with finances."
"So, we can't rebuild the team the way we wanted. People lose their jobs and of course have feelings of not being safe in their work."
"It's hard to have that feeling. So, it affects the environment. We can't ignore it, we admit that problem."
"I want to say that the responsibility is the first team and we have to change that," Amorim said of layoffs.
Other cost cuts measures introduced under Ratcliffe include raising ticket prices in a bid to increase revenue.
However, Amoritism wants to make the plan canceled, of course with positive results in the future.
"To change that, the first thing we have to do is win. It was a small step to try to help these people, to try not to raise ticket prices higher. We are responsible for that," he said.
In January 2025, the club wrote a letter to supporters explaining what they called a difficult choice.
"If we don't act now, we risk failing to comply with PSR/FFP (Financial Fair Play) requirements."
"Currently we suffer significant losses every year with a total of more than 300 million pounds in the last three years. This is unsustainable."
"We have to make some difficult choices. That includes a significant reduction to our workforce and cuts in many areas of spending across our clubs," Manchester United said in the letter.
