Can You Order Honda Step WGN In Indonesia? This Is HPM's Response

JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has introduced the latest van, namely Step WGN in the middle of last year. This car is equipped with hybrid technology that is known for its fuel efficiency.

Not only that, this Japanese manufacturer also introduced Step WGN through various activities, one of which was e:Technology Tour so that the interest in the car was so high. Most recently, the car was also brought to the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 as an introduction to Honda's electrification technology.

Unfortunately, HPM cannot confirm when this car will be sold to the public. However, Step WGN can now be ordered by only booking Rp. 10 million.

"Step WGN can already be ordered but still pivot. The booking is IDR 10 million with an estimated price of IDR 699 million," said one of the sellers when contacted by VOI, Monday, February 17.

Responding to this, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT HPM, Yusak Billy said Step WGN is one of the models that is being seriously considered so that it will be launched soon for the Indonesian market.

"For Step WGN, we are very serious considering being able to launch here as soon as possible. Because demand and response are very good," said Billy when confirmed by VOI.

Although the launch date has not yet been confirmed, Billy ensures Honda will launch three hybrid models this year including one of the products to be assembled locally.

"We will issue three hybrid models this year including local production," added Billy.

Then if it is interpreted from the information above, it is likely that Step WGN is the closest car that will soon be officially launched by HPM. Meanwhile in Japan, this medium-van car is a direct competitor to Toyota Vexy and Nissan Serena.

By design, Step WGN has a more brainy design than his brother such as Freed or Odyssey, but is more minimal with spoilers on front and on both sides.

This van is equipped with a 2.0 liter Atkinson-cycle 2.0 liter engine combined with a hybrid e:HEV system developed by Honda, so that it is able to emit up to 182 dk of power and the torque reaches 315 Nm.
