JAKARTA - Recently, there have been questions that have surfaced among the public regarding the sweet taste of mineral water. One of them is that drinking water that contains minerals is said to have a different sweet taste. Then, can sweet tastes in this mineral water cause diabetes?
Dr. Tirta, a well-known Indonesian doctor who often shares health information, provides an explanation. According to dr. Tirta, the sweet taste in mineral water does not come from artificial sweeteners or sugar which can increase blood sugar levels.

So, where did the sweet taste come from? Dr. Tirta explained that the sweet taste in mineral water is caused by the interaction of essential minerals contained in the bottled water.
