Draw Against Persib, Persija Jakarta Captain Talks About Champion Opportunities
JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta captain, Rizky Ridho, spoke about the draw his team won during the Persib Bandung meeting in the 23rd week of Liga 1 2024/2025. Although not satisfactory, Ridho said that currently the team is focused on achieving maximum results rather than talking about winning opportunities.
Hosting the status at Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, on Sunday, February 16, 2025, afternoon WIB, Persija completed the match with a 2-2 draw.
This one point score made Persija continue the trend of being inconsistent because it had been four games without a win.
This draw against Persib makes Persija still stuck in fourth place in the Liga 1 standings with 40 points. Seeing the competition towards an increasingly heated championship title, Ridho prefers to focus on winning point by point in every match.

"We never talked about winning chances. We wanted to win and reduce the difference in points with Persib, but we failed to do so."
"In the future, we want to step by step in improving ourselves. Let's see what ranking we will finish this season," said Rizky Ridho after the match.
Regarding the draw achieved in the 23rd week, Rizky Ridho said that at the beginning of the match his team played well because they were able to lead 2-0.
However, after the break, the Kemayoran Tigers actually concede easily and this situation will be used as an evaluation in the future.
"In the first half everything went normally. In the second half we conceded too easily twice. Again, this will be an evaluation for us. We must understand the shortcomings in the future so that we can learn again," he said.
After only being able to finish the match with a 2-2 draw, Ridho, who represented the team, also did not forget to apologize and thank The Jakmania for his loyal support.
"Yes, I apologize to The Jakmania, who have been present and thanked for always being loyal to support us when we won, drew, or lost," he said.
