Efforts To Win Halal Certificates, Dispar And BI Sulsel Continue To Push Hotels And Restaurants

The Tourism and Creative Economy Office of South Sulawesi and the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of South Sulawesi Province encourage hotels and restaurants to obtain halal certificates.

"BI facilitates the acceleration of the halal ecosystem, including accelerating halal certification which cannot be separated from support for halal tourism," said Deputy Head of BI South Sulawesi Representative Wahyu Purnama as quoted by ANTARA.

He said the importance of this halal certification is to provide certainty to service users or the public as well as provide knowledge to the public with literacy and education related to halal products or services.

This was confirmed by the Makassar Sucofindo Representative who provided halal stnadarization and had submitted a halal certificate to the management of the Swiss-Bellinn Panakkukang Hotel Makassar.

This certification, he continued, is a guarantee that the products and services provided to customers are guaranteed to be halal, so that directly or will not have an impact on future business developments.

Meanwhile, the Head of Halal Swiss-Bellinn Panakkukang Makassar, Dandy said, the certification has a positive impact on hotels, because in the future it will be able to provide guarantees to customers.

Moreover, the government has suggested that every business, especially in the service sector, carry out halal certification.

As a commitment to the halal certification, the Panakkukang Makassar swiss-belin hotel has stopped the sale of alcoholic beverages to support 100 percent of the halal hotel.

This certification step is in line with government regulations that require halal certification for products and services offered to the public.
