DKI Pemprov Rayu, Inheritance, To Sell The House Of The Former Foreign Minister To The Government

JAKARTA - Head of the Cultural Protection Division of the Jakarta Culture Service, Norviadi Setio Husodo, said that his party was asking the heirs to sell the house of former Foreign Minister Achmad Soebardjo Djojoadisoerjo to the government.

According to Novriadi, the heirs should sell the house that will be used as a cultural heritage to the government first, before the private sector. This is in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage.

"The information is that the heirs will sell or dispose of their assets to other parties. The Head of the Office conveyed a suggestion, first offer to the government, then to the private sector," Norviadi said when contacted, Wednesday, April 21.

Currently, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has only designated Achmad Soebardjo's house as an object suspected of being cultural heritage (ODCB). This is because the house has not been officially designated as a cultural heritage.

"Indeed, Achmad Soebarjo's house has not been registered. But already ODCB. This ODCB is a process that is still going through a TACB study. If the study recommendation can be determined (as a cultural heritage), then the process for its determination is through a Governor's Decree," he said.

Previously, the Instagram account for buying and selling houses, Kristohouse advertised the sale of photos of Achmad Soebardjo Djojoadisoerjo's house, which is currently owned by his heirs.

"For sale an old house in a strategic location, a commercial zone, for an 8-story building," wrote the Kristohouse account.

The sale of this house is worth IDR 200 billion. The house was the first office of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the early days of independence. After the Foreign Ministry's office was built, the house returned to being the private residence of the Soebardjo family.

Many netizens think that the government must protect the house. Betawi cultural observer, Ridwan Saidi, said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government needs to buy the house so that it will be designated as a cultural heritage.

"The government needs to buy Pak Soebardjo's house because it is suitable as a cultural heritage. It can be used as a museum," said the man who is familiarly called Babe Ridwan.
