The National Police Chief Inaugurates The Kulon Progo Farmer's Business Road To Support Food Security

KULON PROGO - National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the farm business road and irrigation canals in Bulak Pelemsewu, Kalurahan Garongan, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, in order to support food security in this area.

National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo in Kulon Progo, Saturday, said that Kalurahan Garongan was a self-sufficiency in rice.

"For that, I hope that what has now been implemented related to the construction of roads and irrigation can really be useful. If there is a shortage and it must be built again, whether it is extended and so on, please let us know and we will definitely support it," said the National Police Chief when inaugurating Jalan Usaha Tani and Irigasi Bulak Pelemsewu.

He said he saw the enthusiasm of the residents of Kalurahan Garongan which was extraordinary to farm. He asked the public to continue planting rice, the government would absorb it because currently there are also instructions to absorb all the grain planted.

Furthermore, he hopes that in the future, Kalurahan Garongan will become one of the best villages related to the problem of the ability to prepare and maybe become one of the rice barns that is the pride of the region to create food self-sufficiency.

"In the future, we hope that Kalurahan Garongan can become one of the areas that is a food barn. We hope that this development will encourage and support the increase in economic growth in the Garongan area," he said.
