Samsung Delays Android Launch 15 Until April 2025

JAKARTA The launch of Android 15 on Samsung Galaxy phones is getting more and more messy because there is no certainty on the schedule. Even though the Galaxy S25 Series has been released, the lower device has not yet got the system.

In fact, Android 15 is the most awaited update through One UI 7 firmware.

The beta version of the operating system (OS) for the S24 series was released last December. However, this beta version launch is also unclear because it is not available on other devices.

Samsung has never expanded Android 15 beta to any other device and the company has also set a launch month.

Now, news has emerged from the Samsung Tarun Vats leaker. Quoting from 9to5google, Samsung will release Android 15 in April.

This is bad news for S24 users and older devices. Google is expected to release Android 16 in May or June this year.

If the Android 15 launch doesn't run smoothly on Samsung, the next OS launch will be affected.

Android 16 may also be launched late to Samsung. It's unclear why Samsung is still delaying the launch of One UI 7 which includes an Android 15 update.

In fact, this OS is already available in the Galaxy S25 series which was released last January.

In addition to influencing Android 16 launch schedules, the slow launch of One UI 7 firmware could also affect the next update. Reportedly, Samsung is considering whether they will launch One UI 7.1.

Recently, Samsung launched a February security patch for the Galaxy S24 series and lower ones. The launch of this firmware is disappointing because it is still based on One UI 6.1.1 and includes only bug fixes.
