Governor Zainal Offers Superior Investment Opportunities In Kaltara
JAKARTA - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A Paliwang offers a number of investment opportunities for the Fisheries and Industry sector in the Kaltara region.
This was conveyed by Zainal at the Monthly Economic Diplomatic Breakfast held by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at the Mezzanine Aryaduta Ballroom Hotel Jakarta, Friday, February 14.
"The Provincial Government (Pemprov) continues to strive to attract investors to invest in local potentials such as the fisheries and industrial sectors," said Zainal.
The Governor revealed that fisheries potentials such as mangrove crab cultivation, windu shrimp, seaweed and milkfish are the mainstay of the province of Kaltara
"Kepiting mangroves already have international markets and demand is high. Likewise, windu shrimp is cultivated organically. We openly welcome investment in the fishery industry," he said.
At an event opened by Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas AM Djiwandono, Governor Zainal also explained that his party is ready to facilitate investors, especially the ease of the licensing and land process.
"In this fishery industrial area, the Kaltara Provincial Government has prepared an area of 43 hectares (ha) in the city of Tarakan. And the depth is suitable for the construction of an export port," he explained.
A number of investment opportunities were also conveyed by Governor Zainal, such as in the downstream area of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), the construction of toll roads from Tanjung Selor to the Indonesian Green Industrial Estate (KIHI) in Tanah Kuning, the food estate program in Delta Kayan and type B hospitals in the capital Kaltara, Tanjung Selor.
