Family Allowance Of Heroes Removed From APBD, DKI Provincial Government Says Will Be Borne By The Ministry Of Social Affairs
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Social Service, Premi Lasari, clarified the issue of removing allowances for the hero family in the 2025 budget year APBD amid budget efficiency.
Premi admitted that the awarding of awards in the form of allowances to the families of heroes, widows of heroes, and widows of pioneer independence was not stopped. However, there is a shift in allocation that was previously sourced from the APBD to the APBN through the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"This award will continue, but now it is through the state budget (APBN), in accordance with the authority of the central government," Premi said in a statement, Friday, February 14.
Premi explained, after synchronizing with applicable regulations, it was known that the allowance for the hero family was the authority of the central government, as stipulated in Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government and Presidential Regulation no. 78 of 2018 concerning Requirements, Procedures, and the Amount of Sustainable Allowances for Fighters, Pioneers of Independence, and National Heroes' Families.
Premi emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government is trying to ensure that the beneficiaries continue to receive awards according to the scheme set by the central government.
"We have proposed recipient data to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs so that they can still get their rights," said Premi.
It is known that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has removed the allowance budget allocation for the family of heroes, widows of heroes, and widows of pioneering independence in the 2024 APBD.

"We hereby convey that the budget allocation for awarding the families of heroes, widows of heroes and widows of pioneer independence will be eliminated starting from the 2025 fiscal year," Premi wrote in a letter.
