Exclusive Meisya Amira Changes Her Way To Become A Successful Actor

JAKARTA - Meisya Amira had the opportunity to share her experience of acting debut in a horror film entitled The late who also starred Ratu Sofya to Dimas Aditya. Apart from her story, Meisya admitted that she deliberately chose this film as her horror film debut to find new experiences in acting.

"Obviously I chose because this is an opportunity, yes, for me, for experience too, experience, because you could say this is my first horror debut, so who knows, I will definitely try. Then also from a good story, I must have read it before, I was told by my manager. One of them is from the story, then create an experience that is really why I took it, because there is that opportunity, a big chance for me, "said Meisya Amira to VOI.

It is undeniable that Meisya has many feelings raging in her heart when she tries to act in a film, ranging from feelings of excitement to being challenged to being able to feel it while filming.

"It's really fun, especially since I actually feel that there's nothing really horror about it, it's just that challenging is also enough for me, because many of the characters are also different from myself, there's a lot to learn too, and here we also learn, there's also coaching that can be taken very scientifically," continued Meisya.

Moreover, Meisya had to adapt to the shooting time which was quite surprising for her where during the shooting process the late film was mostly done at night different from other film genres.

"Yes, I was surprised, because I last shot the film for a long time, in 2019. And that's actually also early in the morning, but not horror, right, more drama. Well, here there's a lot of shock, more technicality, yes, it turns out that there are a lot of things that need to be set, like that, more like that, something different from the previous shooting," explained Meisya.

However, this made Meisya learn to explore her acting skills more. He hopes that his acting on his horror film debut can be accepted by the audience.

"The response to this film, the late film is very much, enthusiastic, more people, what I see in social media is that many people are really enthusiastic about the film's story, not each of our characters, because here it's a new story, it's not like adaptation from where, maybe just lifting culture from Java," said Meisya.

"Hopefully I can be accepted into society, earlier I said. Then I hope I can learn more here, and can play other films too, explore other characters like that," he said.

Meisya Amira started her career from modeling to finally venture into the world of cinema. Trying various professions makes Meisya Amira must be able to adapt in all conditions.

Not only that, Meisya feels that the world of cinema forces her to get out of her comfort zone and remove the Meisya side that has not yet been seen.

"Yes (adaptasi), yes for sure. To be honest, I'm a very introverted child, that's why this is a very comfort out from my comfort zone. But yes, there so learning, so now learning can be open, you can talk to people, you can be someone else like that, you don't have to stay in your comfort zone," said Meisya Amira.

Not without reason, Meisya feels that when involved in a film project, she must have strong teamwork, so that she who is introverted must try to be open to other people.

"The difference is, if the film requires hard work, yes, effort. It's not just shooting, you have to explore characters, you have to look at scenarios, have to learn, have to ask questions here, so you don't just play straight away. There's a lot of things we have to think about, the effort is more if we make it in a film. Because one of us is also making works here, "said Meisya.

Di film juga, Meisya mengaku menjadi banyak belajar hal-hal baru yang sebelumnya tidak pernah merasakan saat bermain di serial atau di sinetron.

"In films, it's like chatting with people, that's not really the case, because before we had time to bond, right, for reading, for coaching, and others. And for example, if you're resting, you can go out together, like that," said Meisya.

"Then everything if the film has been prepared from a few months before, it's just that if for example I'm in soap operas, I want to that day, everything is more like a shock, right. It's just not too, if you're here it's more thinking, not thinking negatively, so it's like you have to give your best in every game we play," he continued.

This ultimately makes Meisya addicted and wants to immediately return to playing in films and try new things that she has never felt before.

"I definitely want to try, really want to shoot more films, because one of them is for opportunity too, for learning, I really want to explore other things," he said.
