McGregor Has Rp3.6 Trillion In Cash, His Tweet About Buying Man United Is Not Just A Joke

JAKARTA - UFC fighter Conor McGregor joked about wanting to buy Manchester United amid the resignation of Executive Vice Chairman Ed Woodward in the aftermath of his involvement in the formation of the European Super League.

As a joke, McGregor's net worth is likely to get United owners thinking.

The Irish man has fought at the UFC since 2013 with eight bouts labeled pay-per-view to his name. His most recent fight came this year, when he lost to Dustin Poirier in their rematch.

With a record of 10 wins from 13 fights on the octagon, McGregor has made money worth 122 million US dollars (Rp1, 7 trillion).

However, McGregor has established himself a brand outside of the UFC. He gets support from Burger King, Reebok, Beats by Dre, Monster Energy, and EA.

The Notorious also owns an Irish whiskey brand called Proper No. 12, making $ 48 million according to Forbes.

The Irish man also made a fortune from a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in 2017, which received more than five million pay-per-view purchases.

And that earned him $ 100 million from the contract. After deducting taxes, the fighter gets $ 85 million.

If McGregor decides to retire from the UFC, his fortune will be in the range of $ 252 million.
