Lantamal Task Force Finds Bodies Of Flood Victims In Maros
The Lantamal VI Disaster Management Task Force (Satgas) team managed to find the bodies of flood victims who were swept away by the current due to bad weather that hit Maros Regency.
The Commander of the Pleton (Danton) Task Force Gulben Lantamal VI Lt. (Mar) Muh. Ridha through his statement received in Makassar, Thursday, (13/2) said that the body that was found was carried away by the flood current.
"Members were dispatched to assist the evacuation process at the flood site and then in the midst of heavy flood water flow, there was news from one of the village heads who stated that there were victims who were swept away," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 13.
Muh. Ridha said that after receiving news from the Village Head A'bulosibatang, the Gulben Lantamal VI Task Force Team immediately formed a team to go to carry out the search and evacuation of the missing victims due to being carried away by the flood currents.
The victim's body, Daeng Mading (59), was found in Pampangan Hamlet, Abbulosibatang Village, Marusu District, after 2 days after the flood disaster by the Gulben Lantamal VI Task Force Team together with the SAR Team from a joint government and TNI/Polri Maros Regency.
Lieutenant Ridha explained that the search for bodies was focused on the location where the victims were washed away during the flood and then the task force team searched until they were finally found.

"We then dispatched a rubber boat to search the location and not long after, we found the victim who was already dead and Daeng Mading's body was taken to the Karet Boat," he said.
Daeng Mading's body was then evacuated to the mainland for transportation using an ambulance which was immediately taken to the funeral home in Pampangan Hamlet, A'bulosibatang Village, Marusu District.
