Russia Still Negotiates Details Of Putin-Trump Meeting

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday details of Russia's President Vladimir Putin's meeting with United States President Donald Trump were still being negotiated.

"We still have to finish the details," Peskov told reporters when asked about the schedule for the meeting between the two presidents.

Peskov explained the two heads of state agreed to focus on separate gatherings and clearer instructions would be given to their aides.

"Yesterday, in a telephone conversation, the heads of state agreed that they themselves would continue contact, they would focus on separate gatherings, and they also agreed that instructions would soon be given to the relevant aides so they would start the appropriate work," Peskov said.

Earlier on Wednesday (12/2), US President Donald Trump stated on the Truth Social platform that he had spoken to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He then asked Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Radcliffe, National Security Adviser Michael Waltz, and Special Envoy and Ambassador Steve Witkoff to lead the US negotiating team to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
