Indonesia Get Rid Of Malaysia And Champion Of The 2025 BAMTC Group
JAKARTA The Indonesian badminton team eliminated Malaysia and qualified as group winners at the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship (BAMTC).
Indonesia locked victory over Malaysia with a final score of 3-2 after Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin lost against Man Wei Chong/Kai Wun Tee in the rubber games 27-25, 17-21, and 21-23 on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
"Keep saying thank God, we've played pretty well, we're all out."
"It is quite strict from start to finish," said Fikri in a statement.
Indonesia completely wiped out two matches in the group stage. Previously in the first match on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Indonesia had already beaten Hong Kong.

At that time Fikri/Daniel participated in playing and contributed points. They were recorded as defeating the Law Cheuk Him/Yeung Shing Choi pair in the rubber game duel.

The defeat obtained by Malaysia automatically made Hong Kong qualify for the knockout round with Indonesia.

BAMTC 2025 was attended by 12 countries spread evenly across four groups. Only group winners and runners-up are entitled to tickets to the quarter-finals.
