The Deputy Minister Of Health Ensures That Mental Examination Enters The Free Health Check Program
JAKARTA - Mental health checks are an important part of maintaining the welfare of the community. This examination aims to detect mental health disorders early and provide the right intervention.
Mental health is as important as physical health, as they affect each other's overall quality of life.
Deputy Minister of Health (Wamenkes) Dante Saksono Harbuwono ensured that mental health checks were included in the coverage of the Free Health Check (CKG) program package.
"It's in the package, the CKG examination has mental health," said Dante while accompanying the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno at the Gambir Health Center, Central Jakarta, Thursday.
Dante explained that based on the evaluation of the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes), 34.6 percent of teenagers experienced a mental health decline.
"Our evaluation data shows that 34.6 percent of teenagers experience a decline in mental health. Mental health is important to evaluate periodically, because it is no less important than physical health. If mental health is maintained, we can grow physically and mentally healthy," he explained.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno who was also present on this occasion emphasized the importance of improving the quality of puskesmas services throughout Indonesia.
"We invite local governments to continue to improve the quality of health centers throughout Indonesia. The central government through the Ministry of Health has provided a lot of assistance in the form of medical equipment and hospital construction in the regions. However, we hope that local governments will also pay serious attention to puskesmas," said Pratikno.

He also added the importance of education to the public about a healthy lifestyle.
"In addition to health services, puskesmas must also provide education about the importance of a healthy lifestyle," he added.
Pratikno said that people who want to take part in the CKG program can immediately register, including those who have a birthday in the near future.
"Immediately register yourself, even though your birthday is still long. Some have their birthdays in September, but have registered and received a queue number. So, prepare yourself to get a free health check gift on your birthday," he said.
The Free Health Check Program (CKG) was officially launched by the Indonesian government as a birthday gift for the community. This program is effective from February 10, 2025 and aims to improve the quality of public health through early detection of various diseases.
This examination is important because the data shows that more than 600,000 Indonesians die from cardiovascular disease every year. The stroke, which is one of the main causes of death, is often triggered by an unhealthy lifestyle that can be prevented through routine health checks.
Through the CKG program, the public will receive health recommendations that are adjusted to their conditions. For people who are in good health, a healthy lifestyle guide will be provided. Meanwhile, those who are detected as having certain diseases will receive appropriate medical services.
Registration for the CKG program can be done online through the One Healthy Mobile application or through WhatsApp services, making it easier for people to get better health services.
