Ahead Of Pretrial Decision, Kubuh Hasto Ready Whatever The Results

The PDI-P Secretary General (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto stated that he was ready with whatever decision related to the pretrial lawsuit for the ratification of the suspect in the alleged interim investigation and bribery case (PAW) of the DPR RI.

It is known that the sole judge of the South Jakarta District Court who tried the pretrial lawsuit will read out his verdict, today.

"We are ready with whatever the results of this pretrial trial," said Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney, Ronny Talapessy in his statement, Thursday, February 13.

According to him, all arguments, evidence, and testimonies to support the lawsuit have been presented in court. Thus, the single judge who handles and judges can make it a consideration in making decisions.

"Even the public can also see how experts from the KPK even though they strengthen our legal substance and arguments," he said.

In addition, Ronny also stated that this trial was a form of responsibility or legal struggle to educate the public regarding law enforcement that should not be arbitrary.

"The law of the event must be obeyed. As in the legal doctrine conveyed by expert Dr Maruarar Siahaan, 'The fruit of poisoneous tree' tau 'poison tree', how to obtain evidence obtained in a despicable, tarnished, human rights violation, violating the procedural law, then the evidence cannot be used because it will only poison the judiciary and the law itself," he continued.

If the arbitrariness continues, said Ronny, everyone can become victims. Therefore, the struggle needs to be done to prevent this from happening.

"Anyone can become a victim. It doesn't matter if you are an official, businessman, farmer, trader, party activist, or the rest of the people, when people with power can ignore a person's legal procedures and legal rights," said Ronny.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

It didn't stop there, Hasto was also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

The determination of the suspect was then sued by the Hasto camp to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).
