Rizky Ridho's Performance Decreases Ahead Of Persija Vs Persib, Coach Remains Positive

JAKARTA - Performance Rizky Ridho is said to have decreased ahead of the hot match between Persija Jakarta vs Persib Bandung in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 continued match, Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi.

However, according to Persija assistant coach Ricky Nelson, it is normal and natural.

Instead of mentioning Rizky Ridho has experienced a decline in performance, Ricky Nelson prefers to use the term bad day.

In Ricky's view, Ridho was only having a bad day or was unlucky in the previous match.

This situation refers to the violation committed by Ridho when Persija was defeated by Dewa United 1-2 in the latest match.

In that match Ridho committed a violation which actually made Dewa United get a penalty from the referee.

"All players have their names bad day (bad day). Everyone. That means, yes, maybe if you look at Ridho's last mistake, it could be seen like that," said Ricky Nelson in his statement in Jakarta quoted on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

In addition, Ricky said Ridho did not perform badly throughout the match at that time. You see, he only committed one violation which led to a goal. In fact, said Ricky, Ridho made many saves as well.

Reflecting on the experience in the previous match, Ricky then believed Ridho would appear solid when Persija hosted Persib in the 23rd week of Liga 1.

"He's also for other rescues. It can't be compared. Maybe at that moment (violence against Ricky Kambuaya) there was a mistake and became an opponent's goal."

"Yes, it's called a competition, today it's not lucky, it was a little bit of a goal for the opponent. Yes, that's bad day," he said.
