Muhammadiyah Welcomes Positive Budget Efficiency
YOGYAKARTA - General Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Central Executive Haedar Nashir positively welcomed the budget efficiency steps taken by the government. He considered budget savings as a constructive and favorable decision, as long as it was implemented systematically and supported by mature regulations.
"We agree that savings and efforts to avoid waste are very positive and constructive steps from the president. The important thing is that the implementation must be carried out systematically in the government system, with clear and mature regulations, and accompanied by willingness from public officials to be more economical," said Haedar.
Haedar also emphasized that budget efficiency must really be directed towards the interests of people's welfare, poverty alleviation, and reducing social inequality. He reminded that increasing state income is also very important so that national development can continue to run with sufficient budget.
