Get Ready To Supercar Toyota Will Debut This Summer

JAKARTA - Japan's high performance division, Toyota Gazoo Racing is working to create its newest flagship supercar. This is evidenced by the test of the car wrapped in camouflage in recent times.

Carscoops reported on Thursday, February 13, the car is internally named GR GT3 and will get an LFR badge for the Lexus brand. This car will also have the potential to be present as a model developed independently by Gazoo Racing or occupy the top position in the division.

Another interesting thing, the spy photographer has photographed the supercar in both racing and highway versions. It can be seen in the image that the car resembles the GT3 GR concept that was launched in 2022.

Another news is that the car was built on an aluminum chassis covered with carbon fiber bodywork, thus providing a balance between light construction and high level strength.

Spy images also reveal that the GT3 version specifically for this track is equipped with a side-mounted exhaust and aero components that are much more aggressive than the street version.

Although it is still a question mark, it is estimated that the latest supercar from Toyota will rely on a 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo machine and combine it with a hybrid self-charging system.

With this powertrain, the supercar can deliver peak power up to 900 hp from gasoline engines and hybrid drivers.

This car has the potential to be sold to the supercar market for around 30 million yen (IDR 3.179 billion) in Japan. This production version of the GR GT3 will be a direct competitor to other supercars such as Lamborghini Temerario, Ferrari 296 GTB, and McLaren 750S successors.

Despite having a small market niche, it is reported that this model will not be produced on a limited basis. Thus, this allows production to be expanded and becomes an attractive choice for supercar buyers.

According to the latest report, this one car will start production at the start of this summer. This is good news for supercar and Toyota fans because they will see the model officially.
