Not Providing Cars And Official Houses For Internal Officials, KPK Claims To Have Performed Efficiency

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) claims to have carried out efficiency in the maintenance costs sector to spending on goods and services for a long time. This is because they do not budget for housing facilities and official vehicles for officials or employees.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Agus Joko Pramono at the Commission III Working Meeting of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 12.

"In the context of maintenance costs, spending on goods and services, the KPK is also quite efficient because we do not provide official housing and vehicle facilities for officials and employees," Agus said as quoted from the KPK's official statement, Thursday, February 13.

Agus explained that the KPK had implemented efficiency of IDR 201 billion in 2025 in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure Efficiency in the Implementation of the State Budget and Regional Budget for Fiscal Year 2025. So that the initial budget which previously amounted to IDR 1.237 trillion became IDR 1.036 trillion.

He then detailed the capital expenditure post, efficiency was carried out by 37 percent to Rp11.82 billion, which was previously Rp18.72 billion. "This effort is a form of full support from the KPK to the government," he said.

Then, the other budget reconstruction carried out by the KPK is to adjust official travel, optimize information technology for meeting and seminar activities, limit ceremonial activities, procure souvenirs, and efficiency in the use of consultant/expert services.

Despite the efficiency, Agus ensured that the eradication of corruption would not have a significant impact. "In order to continue to run optimally, KPK personnel will receive greater duties and responsibilities than before," he concluded.
