Indonesia Reshuffles Squad Against Malaysia At BAMTC 2025

JAKARTA Indonesia made changes to the squad to face Malaysia at the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship (BAMTC).

The Indonesian badminton team is scheduled to meet Malaysia in the last match of Group B on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 08.30 WIB at the Conson Gymnasium, Qingdao, China.

Changes in the squad for this match were carried out on a large scale in four sectors, namely mixed doubles, women's and men's singles, and women's doubles.

In the mixed doubles, Indonesia fielded the Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti pair. Previously against Hong Kong, this sector was filled by Rinov Rivaldy/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.

Then in the women's singles, the coaching team kept Putri Kusuma Wardani and preferred to field Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi to fight Karupthevan Letshaana.

Alwi Farhan is also stored in the men's singles sector after previously contributing points against Hong Kong. In this number, Yohanes Saut Marcellyno got the opportunity to play a duel with Leong Jun Hao.

Furthermore, in the women's doubles sector, it was Rachel Alllessya Rose/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari's turn to play. Previously, when they won against Hong Kong, Fadia and Lanny Tria Mayasari played.

The only sector that has not changed from the match against Hong Kong is the men's doubles. In this number, the pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri / Daniel Marthin again won the trust.

Indonesia has now confirmed a ticket to the quarter-finals after Malaysia was beaten by Hong Kong this afternoon. The result made Merah-White at least finish in the runner-up position.

If they manage to secure two points against Malaysia, Indonesia will secure a ticket to the knockout round with the status of group winners.

Meanwhile, Malaysia needs to win this match to accompany Indonesia. If they lose, then Indonesia will qualify as group winners, followed by Hong in the runner-up position.
