Real Madrid Likes To Protest About Referee, Vinicius Follows Even Though It's Bad In Discipline
JAKARTA - Vinicius Junior has admitted that he is not a holy man in terms of his behavior on the ground.
The Brazilian player's disciplinary record is bad. However, he accused the referee of failing to protect him when he was targeted against Real Madrid.
The forward is one of the players facing criticism for his disciplinary record, with five yellow cards and one red card in La Liga and three more yellow cards in the Champions League.
However, he seemed to not want to be blamed for his behavior on the ground and instead supported Real Madrid's protests.
As is known, Real Madrid are very critical of decision making from Spanish referees this season. They even filed an official complaint with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The club's protests became Vinicius' weapon to defend himself. He emphasized that the referee was still wrong because he did not blow the whistle when the Brazilian was the target of the opponent's harsh game.
"Sometimes it's difficult. Referees don't protect players who are kicked. When I'm kicked, I get a yellow card."
"My team-mates and coaches are trying to help me to focus. However, I am not a holy man," Vinicius told Movistar.
Real Madrid protests that are often carried out through their television channels or letters of complaint directly to the federation create a lot of opposition from a number of La Liga clubs.
Los Blancos are considered to be looking for scapegoats if the match doesn't go smoothly for them.
Apart from that, the Brazil international appeared as the best player in Los Blancos' 3-2 win over Manchester City in the knockout playoff match of the Champions League, Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
In fact, he was made furious by a banner of Manchester City fans before the match that mocked him for losing to Rodri in the 2024 Ballon d'Or title.
