Still Reluctant To Give A Green Electricity Export Permit To Singapore. Here's Why!
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia admitted that he had not given permission to export green electricity to Singapore. Bahlil said he was still holding back the permit because no return had been given by Singapore to the Indonesian stock.
"The Singaporean minister met me at the office. I said I would send you (electricity). Say will just open (electric exports). We are friends with Singapore, our friends, it's better for us, we continue to support this Singapore. Now we ask him, when will he support us, that's about it," Bahlil said at the Mandiri Investment Forum event at Fairmont, Tuesday, February 11.
However, Bahlil did not specify what kind of shaman Indonesia expected from Singapore. Not only renewable energy from the Riau Islands, Bahlil said Singapore also asked the Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) facility to capture the carbon produced by the Singapore industry.
"But I want to ask, what do you give Indonesia? Don't just ask and you never tell, do you love us. So don't build a perception, that as if we don't support it, not just support it, carry it Singapore, we carry it," said Bahlil.

Bahlil said that he was also urged by the President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo regarding this electricity export policy because it was believed to be a good and profitable business field. However, Bahlil said he was still reluctant to open the core for green electricity exports for Singapore.
"I said, Mr. Darmo (Director of PLN), building this country is not only talking about business. We must also hold the sovereignty and magnification of the red and white state, so that other countries also take into account our part that we must win-win," said Bahlil.
