Mitsubishi Adds Investment, DST Concept Will Be Built In The Philippines?
JAKARTA - A Japanese producer, Mitsubishi, has a long-term commitment in the Philippines, the brand's latest additional investment plans in the country over the next five years.
Quoting from the Top Gear PH page, Tuesday, February 11, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MCC) added to its 7 billion pesos investment and the investment was also aimed at producing a new model at the Mitsubishi Motors Philippine (MMPC) factory in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Is this a sign that the DST Concept model will soon be produced in the Philippines? given its global debut concept in the country.
Unfortunately Mitsubishi is still silent about this (the production of the DST Concept), but cars with a configuration of 7 seats are always well received in the local philipina market, especially since Mitsubishi has a fairly large market share.

Based on a report from Top Gear PH, Mitsubishi has consistently become the second best-selling car manufacturer after Toyota, last year claimed 89,124 units were sold compared to its rivals, only 218,019 units.
"The Philippines is still our number one market in the Asean region," said MMC President Takao Kato.
Being one of the largest markets according to Kato is the reason that the DST concept debut was made in the Philippines, to be precise at the Philippines International Motor Show (PIMS) 2024.
If it is true that it is the production base (Philippine), it is likely that this model is not produced in Indonesia, in contrast to the Xforce introduced in the Philippines and debuted in Indonesia. But of course it is worth waiting for, whether Indonesia or the Philippines will become a fairly anticipated production base for this model.
